Advocacy & Education
In 2008, the Homeless Coalition restructured. The organization had been the voice for the homeless, but needed to take the lead in the community to end homelessness by recommending policy changes to improve services for the homeless. We identified homeless strategies that could produce results, and we collaborated with Palm Beach County Community Services, Human and Veteran, to aid in the implementation of the Ten-Year Plan to end homelessness.
The Coalition continues to monitor national, state and local legislation and news to distribute information through the Coalition’s collaborative network to provide education and awareness information about homelessness.
