Hunger & Homeless Awareness (HHA)

November 16 - November 24

Hunger & Homeless Awareness week is a national movement designed to create awareness and stimulate conversation about addressing hunger & homelessness in our communities. According to the National Coalition for the Homeless, nearly 700 communities across the US participate in one way or another. Each year local municipalities will issue proclamations and extend invitations for the Homeless Coalition to attend commission meetings.

Here are some ways you, your collegiate group, club, church, corporate and or employees can get involved.

  • Sponsor & serve a meal at the Lewis Center
  • Organize a toiletry drive
  • Volunteer at our Donation Center
  • Make a personal or corporate donation
  • Start a Facebook Fundraiser to benefit the Homeless Coalition
